Reginald S. Carvalho, 62, of Norfolk, Va., died Dec. 7 at the Premier Estates in Pierce. Born in Omaha, Neb., he grew up in Hilo and later worked as a farm hand. No services. Barbara Foley Denman, 83, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 22 at home. Born in Portales, N.M., she was the co-owner of Industrial Canvas Manufacturing Company, owner of a women’s clothing manufacturing company, musician, singer, professional dancer, artist, gourd carver and instructor, and member of Living Stones Church. Private services. Survived by husband, Walter Denman, III of Kailua-Kona; son, Steven Denman of Texas; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

Brice Peter Gacutan, 56, of Hilo died Nov. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, he was a caregiver, cook, and a U.S. Army National Guard veteran. Private services. George Ann Green, 84, of Hilo died Oct. 28 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Elida, N.M., she was a licensed practical nurse. Celebration of life at a later date. Margaret Chiyoko Hora, 91, of Honolulu died Nov. 7 at Kuakini Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired secretary from Fort Shafter Army Base. Private services. Survived by brother, Ronald (Lorraine) Hora; one nephew and niece.

Edwin “Ed” Hideo Miyasaki, 83, of Hilo died Dec. 2 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Associate Superintendent of Schools in California, member of Taishoji Soto Mission and U.S. Air Force veteran. Private services.
